Founded in 1984, Rochester Independent College is a unique day and boarding school in Kent. Academic and creative, the focus is on examination success in a lively, supportive and informal atmosphere. There is no uniform, no bells ring, students and staff are on first name terms and the average class size is 8. We encourage our students to voice their opinions, to think critically, creatively and independently. They leave with excellent examination results, enthusiasm for the future and confidence in themselves and their education. Boarding at RIC combines the informality of a university hall of residence with the supervision and pastoral support appropriate for older teenagers.
